Doctor´s On Mission India

November 10, 2011 7:56 pm in Activities

And so the work goes on … Recently, Pastor Rajender–a friend from India who has been pleading with us for 2 years to establish Doctors on Mission India–wrote me the following message:

“My cousin, a young evangelist, Ashish is his name, was working in the remote mountain villages in Kumavn, India. He is a hard working ‘tent maker.’ He was always with me on expedition. This morning I suddenly received a phone call telling me that Ashish was thrown into a ravine and killed by a group of ‘enemies of the Gospel.’”  Pastor Rajender asks prayers for Ashish’s wife and his five children that he leaves behind.

In Nepal, another friend, pastor Rasili, working among the hill tribes is pleading for the same. They pray unceasingly that Doctors on Mission becomes a reality there as well. It really touched my heart that these poor people sent 50 Euro to DM – Belgium to help pay for my flight. They saw it as the alms of the poor widow before the eyes of Jesus.

Unfortunately … we cannot do everything. Only the future will tell … Through Facebook and Twitter, cries come from Bangladesh, Cambodia, the Philippines, Albania, Egypt, and many African countries to help out the minority Christian groups who are oftentimes persecuted. Probably most have seen on CNN how recently a group of Coptic Christians have been killed in Egypt.

A problem in many countries is that we do not have the necessary young idealistic Christian doctors or nurses. Only God knows how and when DM can further develop…

Your continued support in Word and Deed can help us to grow and save the lives of many of our own brothers and sisters.
